KU men’s golf in 7th at Big 12

? Doug Quinones matched his best round of the season with a first-round 69 and was in a tie for 13th place with a 146 after two rounds of the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship on Monday.

KU was in seventh place with a team score of 593.

Oklahoma State leads with 575.

Other KU scores: Alex Gutesha, tied for 18th, 75-72-147; Chris Gilbert, tied for 25th, 73-75-148; and Nate Barbee, 43rd, 73-79-152. Dan Waite made the trip, but had to withdraw due to a bad back, according to KU coach Kit Grove.
