Former Kansas University running back Gale Sayers will be the first in a series of sports celebrities invited to speak at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame’s newly-formed Boathouse Club on Aug. 30 in Wichita.
Sayers is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m.
Other Kansas Sports Hall of Fame inductees to appear will include John Hadl, Jack Parr, Linda Hargrove, Max Falkenstien, Ted Kessinger, Brice B. Durbin, Curtis McClinton and others.
